Whoops! I didn't look at the rest of the pictures to see the slots and connector holes. I just looked at the trim to see the non-high-sport lip.
After seeing the pictures, I, personally would say get a new cover. Most body shops don't want to mess with the detail (especially around the lower trim) trying to repair the damage. So they'll charge you an arm and a leg instead.

And there is no way to sand it down and paint myself? New covers are like $300 + have to get it painted.
