I agree with you Black Attack.
Usually Mall Ninjas and Nut Jobs are attracted to the Tacticool weapons.
I don't agree, a lot of my friends are into tactical weapons, but of course a lot of us are paid to drive around in a car with a pistol on our hip and an AR patrol rifle and if we are lucky a less lethal remington 870 decked out with beanbags. Or my army buddies that depend on these weapons to keep us alive in combat situations.

It is unfortunate that there are people like Black Atatck described that do have these kinds of weapons and so irresponsble with them. For everyone of those there are ten of us responsible gunowners.
So your saying 1 out of every 10 are idiots with guns. So thats 100,000 out of every million now thats some very scary stats.

well he did say "like that", but i think he mean'tan irresponsible gun owner as a personwho doesn't keep their gun properly stored, keeps their ammo away under lock and key, and practices gun safety, not just somebody with a ton of guns. and he's probably close to right, you don't have to have a wall lined with guns and grenades to be and irresponsible gun owner.

My Intimidator sir,
In my posts I guess I should have said that I exclude Military and police. For those good fellas(And I don't mean that they are gangster like in the movie) firearms are not a hobbie, they are their job.

In the post above I was refering to the type of people Black Attack described in his post.

LK, I was going to make a new thread on the below, but I am enjoying the posts that members are making on yours : )The below is a reverse of your Topic Post : )The view of the other side of the issue on Gun'sA World Without Guns[:-]`Space adds fuel to the fire of this thread : )This is just a hypothetical. Would our society be safer if there were no guns? Would the murder rate decline if there were no guns? Would you support a ban on guns?

NRA Lovers. Please don’t **** your pants. I am just trying to strike up an honest debate.
Personally, I like to see disputes handled like we do from my Space Planet

.[8D]I found the below very interesting...What do you think ?

A World Without Guns
Be forewarned: It’s not a pretty picture [X(][X(]

By
D Kopel, P Gallant, and Eisen of the Independence Institute

"Imagine the world without guns" was a bumper sticker that began making the rounds after the murder of ex-Beatle John Lennon on December 18, 1980. Last year, Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono, followed up on that sentiment by announcing she would become a spokeswoman for Handgun Control, Inc. (which later changed its name to the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, and which was previously named the National Council to Control Handguns).
So let's try hard to imagine what a world without guns would look like. It isn't hard to do. But be forewarned: It's not a pretty picture.
The way to get to a gun-free world, the gun-prohibition groups tell us, is to pass laws banning them. We can begin by imagining the enactment of laws which ban all non-government possession of firearms.
It's not likely that local bans will do the job. Take, for example, New York's 1911 Sullivan Law, which imposed an exceedingly restrictive handgun-licensing scheme on New York City. In recent decades, administrative abuses have turned the licensing statute into what amounts to prohibition, except for tenacious people who navigate a deliberately obstructive licensing system.
Laws affect mainly those willing to obey them. And where there's an unfulfilled need — and money to be made — there's usually a way around the law. Enter the black market, which flourishes all the more vigorously with ever-increasing restrictions and prohibitions. In TV commercials that aired last August, New York City Republican (sort of) mayoral candidate Mike Bloomberg informed voters that "in 1993, there were as many as 2 million illegal guns on the street." The insinuation was that all those guns were in the hands of criminals, and the implication was that confiscating the guns would make the city a safer place. What Bloomberg never explained was how he planned to shut down the black market.
So let's imagine,

Space I love the Spin on the subject.
I think thata total gun ban could work, But for it to work other changes have to made at the same time. Some Kids these days do not have the strongest of morals. Most kids think it is cool to have a rap sheet. Role Models for most of time are proud of their criminal behavior/record.
Getting get rich quick is a Cool. Instead of earning an honest buck. Again this is not all kids. But here are enough out there to make things bad enough. So for all you good kids out there don't take this as me saying you are bad. I am saying there plenty of bad kids out there to fuel the problem.

There bad adults but I think the chances of changing the ways of an adult or smaller than changing a kid.

If we banned guns right now, I don't think there will be less violence. Maybe less gun violence. But guns are just maybe the "Best tool". There are other tools in the toolbox though.

By the way this is Global problem.
I originally Hail from Eastern Europe, my last visit I was shocked by how things have changed for the worst

i agree with you big_mecho13. i dont believe that getting rid of guns would end the violoence problem. it may not be as easy but it is just as effective if you use a knife or if u used a gun, either way they person is no less dead cuz u used a knife. I feel that if guns r taken away then ppl will find new more innovative ways to hurt someone. If a person really wants to hurt someone else, they r still gonna do it whether they have a gun or not.Right now guns arejust the easiest.

alright guys... I feel like debating:

gunban: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_...s_Constitution

because of that and wonderful things like the NRA (im serious.... I do think they are very good and needed!) the united states will not be seeing a ban on guns. Mrs. Clinton wants to abolish guns, spinning the amendment by saying "it was a time when the united states was being attacked on unsured borders and was based for milita use". well, sorry mrs. clinton, but, it still says that residents in this lovely country have a right to bear a firearm.

I am pr gun, I believe that the consealed carry law is something that is needed. I know, if a guy wants to hold up a gas station and theres no carry law, hes going to hop in there, nab the register and probably 3 or 4 wallets from people in there. now, if we could all legally carry (with exceptions, convicted felons, ect) theres a chance there would be a much less chance he or she is getting outta there, mainly becuase, there outgunned, no if ands or butts. and think about this: do you think its going to raise violence? do you think were going to let people after we background check them have a gun to protect them and others if we think they cant use it resposibly? im just saying... I love my firearms, and if I could I would be packing my berretta 9mm on my side no matter where I go.

oh, and sorry for the typo's
