I am a gun owner. I own a Browning Superpose 12 ga that I used to shoot skeet. I also own a 9-mm Beretta semi-auto -- which I had a CCW for 1983-1986.

I love to hunt and target shoot. BUT... I believe no one needs an AK-47, M-14, M-16, or any other assult weapon.

Black Attack not to pick a fight, but the most common "civillian" versions of m-16, ak-47, m-14 are not assault weapons.
The defenition of an assault wepon is a weapon with selective fire capability. Hence can go from semi to 3 round burst or full auto.
Most "civi" versions are semi auto.
Yes you can own full auto but who has the money for that.
I do not own any of them, they are fun to plink with, not much practical use otherwise. Other than varmit huntin' or competition.
But if we went by whats practical we all would be drivin 4 bangersLOL.

I agree with you, my brother in law's mini 14 ranch rifle was a more than awesome hunting gun.

Yes, there are full auto kits available for this gun.

I am a black gun enthusist, i have an assortment of polymer handguns Glocks and the like and a Rock River Arms AR-15 a black synthetic Remington 870. i have been stockpile ammo because of the rising prices i buy it on sales and good deals, i try to go shooting at least once a week.

And as
SolaraSlayer said there are kits to making AR's full auto....but its not worth the Felony charges (if caught). Unless you have the proper class III firearms license form the Feds. You can also make them Auto with a stratigicly placed paperclip....so I have been told [sm=oopssign.gif]

I love to shoot my AR but I am a handgun fan I Conceal carrywhere I go. (thats legal to do so) So by some definitions i am a handgun nut. My wife things the AR rack and Armory in the trunk of the Itimidator is extreme![sm=shootshoot.gif]

I know a gentleman (and I say that out of fear), that has a license to sell firearms and does so to some of the local Police Departments. So he is highly respected in the community. I am good friends with this man's son and have witnessed this man's stupidity/craziness. Example 1: A gentleman walks into RM's house without knocking. RM pulls his gun and fires two shots at the man's feet. RM's house has a basement, where all his and his step-kids play. Those bullets went through the floor into the basement hitting the cue rack. Another time a gentleman walked into RM's house with a 1935 Thompson Machine Gun (fully auto) with a round clip. RM takes the gun, slids open his back door wall and opens this thing up (Brrrrrrrrrap!) He pointed it at the trees in the park that borders his backyard and tree tops and branches come tumbling down. Were there any houses hit on the other side of the park from his craziness. Another time a gentleman walks in to RM's house with a handgun. RM slids open the back door and cracks off four shots into his wife's garden. Those are a few I personally witnessed. But I was also there the night the FBI & ATF smashed through the windows and doors to assest him for selling a handgun to a co-worker of his (with whom he worked with for a 1-1/2 years at the factory RM worked at as a milwright). The FBI took everything and I mean everything out of that house. After they stripped it bare, the FBI agent in charge had two matresses brought back in so that the kids wouldn't have to sleep on the floor. Here is the real scary part of that story. Two days later, the FBI returned everything but the 1935 Thompson, a box of Grenades, and sawed off shotgun. They released RM and NOTHING HAPPENED - No jail, No fine, No Probation, Nothing.

RM's son-inlaw is also a nut... and I thought he was a normal person until I walked into their house and sat on their sofa. What's this, I reach behind and pull out a chrome 357 stubnose. Yeah, I have them behind all the throw cushions. Ohhh... Yeah, let me show you my "Room". Ok... I walk into this gun heaven. There is a table assembly line that makes bullets and they fall into wooden pickle barrels (big barrels or 1,000s ofbullets). On the wall are three different style gas masks and a full rubber chemical suit with two air tanks. On each wall was guns, M16s, M14s, British 303s, M1s, and what appeared to be a M60 - i didn't ask... cause I didn't want to know! In the closet was more chemical suits, ropes, knifes, swords, more barrels and ammo boxes of bullets, smoke grenades (or I hope), bullet proof vests including a flakjacket (3" thick). Wow Dave... What are you going to do... start a war? "I May Have Too, Someday!" Ok... I have to go now... You take it easy... Bye! I couldn't have gotten out of there fast enough and I have yet to talk to that man again since that day (7-years ago).

I don't worry about someone wanting to own a gun, but I have found that those that like the M16s, M14s, etc., are a little off! and DANGEROUS!

I'd make sure I was on the best of terms with a neighbor like that.

We own a few guns. I'm not really into hunting. Never have been. I'm too much of an animal lover I guess.

I've got a .22 rifle. My father owns his .38, a special made .22 handgun my mother had made for him, a 12 gauge, and a couple other handguns. I guess you'd say we're gun owners. Only a few rounds in the house and only one is loaded at all times. The .38 my father carried as a Deputy Shariff.

Target practice is fun. But it's been a while since we did any.

hey black attack, i wuoldn't be so worried about them mis-using them as i woudl somebody who knows about all of them and stealing some of them (providing they get to them without the doctors having to pull a couple of hundred bullets out of them during the autopsy). somebody who wants to make a big stick up could all too easily slip in while nobody is home, pick up a few guns, and go do something. that makes me think that maybe their should be a limit on how many guns you can have.

"NO MORE THAN 75 GUNS PER PERSON"

There are these fishing reel type levers with cams attached to them that can make any semi-auto gun into an full auto and they are legal.

You attach them to a 22 semi-auto rifle and crank away and it feels like a mini machine gun.

Pretty cool invention.

I don't agree, a lot of my friends are into tactical weapons, but of course a lot of us are paid to drive around in a car with a pistol on our hip and an AR patrol rifle and if we are lucky a less lethal remington 870 decked out with beanbags. Or my army buddies that depend on these weapons to keep us alive in combat situations.

It is unfortunate that there are people like Black Atatck described that do have these kinds of weapons and so irresponsble with them. For everyone of those there are ten of us responsible gunowners.
