Writing Twenty-Twelve

A new year is HERE! What are you anticipating?
I'm expecting these milestones...
...throughout the year = nephew time
...01/06/2012 = 9th anniversary of my 3rd open heart surgery, the same day I return to work following my 4th OHS
...March = 25th anniversary of my 2nd OHS
...June = 20 years since my HS graduation
...July = 148K miles on my '72 MC
...September = My 9th "major" & well-documented road trip, my 12th "major" road trip overall
...September = My last birthday of my 30s
...November = 35th anniversary of my original OHS
...November = over 160K miles on my 1979 Caprice Classic
...November = 195K miles on my '81 MC SC
...November = 175K miles on my '87 MC LS
...December = 25th anniversary of my original best friend's death
...throughout the year = (hopefully) radio shows

I'll be 40 in July. Not looking forward to it, of course.
Sometime in 2012 will mark one year of my wife being cancer free. We have to check with her doctor to see which month to go by. Anniversary of her first negative test results, or the end of her treatments (which had to continue) for months after the first negative results. That will be a positive milestone.

Is it sad that my '00 has more miles on than any of your cars?
That being said 2012 I hope to be all over the world but even more so this year than last. I want to experience it all.

I'll turn 25 in April. March will mark 5 years since my dad's life-saving open heart surgery (it was pure luck that they caught it before it killed him). June will mark 8 years since I rose my right hand and swore the oath of enlistment to defend the Constitution and protect the American people. May will mark 7 years since I graduated high school.
If things go the way I plan, I will be attending medic school, and then deploying overseas fairly soon following that. That will take up a large portion of my year and a nice chunk of the next one.
I'm sure I'll think of more later but my brain is fried right now.

...CARDIAC REHAB:
I started this the same day I returned to work, 01/06/2012 (the 9th anniversary of my 3rd open heart surgery). So far, I like CR. The staff at the center seemed impressed with what I accomplished just the 1st day; it seems to be a nice stress reliever, definitely needed due to work issues.
...BOARD & GROUP:
As owner, I'm renewing efforts to keep 1 Monte Carlo-specific board (3rd generation) & 1 MC-specific group (6th gen) alive....
