Will NASCAR ever go foward with using the Camaro/Charger/Mustang body styles?

Mustangs are doing the track racing thing thanks to Miller Motorports:

And Ford isn't stopping there. They built 50 Cobra Jet Mustangs for the drag racers:

But where's GM? Trying to pay their bills! Why would they want to sell race cars? Just because Ford and Dodge sell everyone they make. Why would GM want to enter that market?

Jeff, I would love to see Factory Stock Cars, like the
Camaro/Mustang/Challenger's, etc.
with only roll cage & Safety Equipment Race instead of the
same look body/COT NASCAR : (
I don't know if it will happen again, but the Trans Am
series was a good one.
