This was the same route I took. I got a transmission with 70k on it (seemed like a lot less than my 155k one) for $500, they put it in for $400 and it had a year warranty.

My warranty has been up for a while now and it's been good to me.

Hopefully when you get the Imp back from the shop you won't have much more to do.
