That 300 is an LED. There's a build thread of it on hidplanet.com.

Thanks Justin. I figured it was LED. You can get LED's made up in almost any shape, and looking smooth. It's just a matter of how much you want to spend.

BMW and retrofitters used CCFLs for the longest time. You have to be careful when baking a headlight with them in it. It is not an LED.
