lately i've been trying to decide if i want to keep my monte or sell it... i love the car and hate the idea of it falling into someone's hands who won't take care of her like i did... but on the other hand, i flat out don't drive her anymore, she just lays out in my backyard getting covered in leaves and costing me insurance and registration $... i was going to give her to my little brother, but he could care less about having a car. on top of everything, the car leaks antifreze like mad, not sure if it's a water pump housing or head gaskets, and from sitting the tires are dry rotted now, plus it's got it's weird "dead spot" it's always had in the throttle, no gas guage, no a/c, ect... if i listed it up for sale, there's no way i'd get what i want for it. but i'd like to move onto another project, right now i've got 3 cars of my own and i don't want to start my own personal "junkyard" lol.

what do you guys think i should do?

 

sell it, and buy my Z34 next spring/summer, I might even throw in the bullit wheels with the right $$.

I think it might be time for the Monte to go. If you're not driving it, paying money to have it sit in the backyard, and needing work. You already have a project car. The Skylark.

 

Probably time for it to go if its sitting and eating up money. I'm sure someone will buy it.

 

I would let it go if it's not getting driven. It hasn't been your baby, it's just been a toy. You have the skylark to sit and work on, not this.

 

Junkyards of your own are no good unless you have cars that can use the parts. Heck sell it or let your brother have it. Sounds like it needs alot of work, maybe he can fix it.

 

Give it to your brother and get him to join the forum.

 

Sell and get what you can out of it now... before it's too late lol.

 

I think you should party & celebrate `Life. Sell `it, give it to charity & use it as a tax deduction/take out the seats (put in a mattress) and use it as a camper ? Sell it 2 the highest bidder ?
Jack it up/cover it `up & decide later ? Fix it & drive it more ?
Turn it in2 a Race Car & Race it ? Give it to someone that needs a ride ? Trade it for something you need/want ?
Part it `out ? Don't worry `bout it....Start a used car lot ?, but don't 4-get to `party & enjoy your journey of `life...So many would trade you this problem...Peace/Out

 

If your unsure you could put it up for sale on craigslist and see what kind of intrest it draws. If nobody bites put the money into it to get it repaired and ask more.
