When I am in the market for a car a dealer will sell I do a lot of research before hand. I bought my 06 Chrysler Town & Country I started shopping that almost six months in advance. When I finally found the van I wanted price really didn't matter. It was already in the ball park I wanted to pay. The only thing I haggled over was the trailer hitch and they threw it in. I didn't want to have to start looking for another van over a few dollars. I also didn't trade anything in. I find if you trade, the only way you make out is to trade a junker. They give more than its worth to make you feel good. On a good car they want to steal it. If you have to trade, sell your car on your own first.

The 1969 Camaro is tops with Chevy fans.

Cover your ears, Corvette lovers--the 1969 Camaro is the best Chevrolet of all time, according to Chevy fans.
As part of its centennial celebration, Chevy asked fans to vote online for their favorite vehicle from the marque's 100-year history. Nearly 125,000 people voted, and the Camaro edged out the 1970 Chevelle SS in the final round of the four-round elimination contest.
Chevy design director Tom Peters agrees with the verdict: "Today, the '69 Camaro has become one of the best examples of timeless design in the industry.
"Like the very best designs, the Camaro is much more than just a machine because it evokes powerful emotions in people of all ages," Peters said. "That's why we looked to the '69 for inspiration when designing the fifth-generation Camaro and why the '69 Camaro is an example of the timeless vehicles Chevrolet will strive to deliver for the next 100 years."

The 69 Camaro is a nice car but I don't think it deserves to be the best. I think that honor should be bestowed upon the Tri-Five Chevy Bel-Airs. They were the first really modern cars. These cars were the first with modern styling with wrap around windshields, the small block V-8, and fuel injection. If it were not for the break thrus of these cars there would be no 69 Camaro. The cars of the mid fifties started the horse power race that brought about muscle cars and pony cars.

You are correct Space. I am very passionate about what I believe in and have opinions on many things that I enjoy conversing about. I do draw the line at forcing those opinions and beliefs upon others and take great offense when someone does that to me. Unfortunately I find that this takes many forms and is done thru politics and government regulation. A few examples are seat belt use laws. That should be a personal choice. Air bags should have a switch so they can be disabled. I know from your posts that you like new technology and safety features. I have no problem with that. That is your choice and you should have that choice. I would like to choose to have a newer vehicle and not have air bags, anti lock brakes, stability control, and the like. That choice has been taken from me. I either have to get a new car and pay for and use these items I don't want or drive and maintain an old car. My freedom of choice has been removed because someone else thinks that I can't travel safely without them. Gregg
