I've seen that picture before. I don't think they will until a few years at least and maybe not even then. One thing that's for sure, if they ever do re release it im buying it asap!

 

I've seen this pic, I've also seen a Monte constructed on a Camaro frame. The Impala is the biggest car GM has. In order to make a true Monte Carlo, that's the frame that would have to be used.

The one I saw on the Camaro frame looked like a Camaro with Monte Lines and a Monte Nose that looked more like the 4th Gen Monte. It was actually a nice looking car.

Personally, I don't think a Revived Monte would hert the sales of the other GM offerings, especially the Camaro. There are a couple of reasons.
1) the Camaro is a Small/Mid Sized Sports Coupe, The Monte is a Full Sized Sports Coupe.
2) the Monte has always been a Mid Performance car, Decent Power, never over 300 HP from the factory. Today's V6 Camaro, has 323 HP, I think? So they Keep the re Designed Monte at just 300 HP, and it's no Competion!
3) The Monte, as we All Know, has nice Leg and Head room in the Back Seat and enough Trunk Space the fit All 7 Dwarfs and Grocaries! Options No Camaro has ever had.
The 2 cars would sell to 2 different demographics.

All that said, GM will not see it that way. So a Revived Monte will not happen. BUT if it does, And it Has the Monte Lines and a more Modern, Clean apperence, I'll take 1 in Dark Purple with light purple flakes and Red Pin stripes. No"T" tops. And please add Fog Lights! Thanks!!!!!
