Default Read this about removing Factory raido, IS IT TRUE??

i read this quote and want to know if anyone can verify if its true or false....

"A word of caution, I was told that removing the stock deck will cause several electronic functions will not work like air bags, interior lights, and others because the computer is ran through the stereo There is a module replace those functions avaliable at a car audio shops"

You wont lose the airbags. You can re-locate the fastory deck to the trunk with wire harness to keep all factory functions. People do lose door chimes and factory keyless remote, but avoid this by relocating the deck to the trunk.

how do u relocate the deck (r u talkin about the stock HeadUnit?) to the trunk?

and what about using the GM Class II Data Bus Interface to keep the door chime?

umm i havent lost the remote i still have mine andstill havent put a key in the door or the trunk locks on my car

and as far as the air bags thosea rea completly diffrent function

what you willl lose isthe annoying chime\
and steering wheel controlls if you have them ,there is a factory harnesesthat you can get to attch to the oem harness to allow you to retian those controlls,also one to relocate the radio to the trunk
you can eve nget one fo the annoying chime if you want it
