I say keep the Monte unless you really need the truck.

if you're going to get a truck, trade the monte on a New Body style Dodge RAM, they are really nice, ride really good, have no problems mechanically, you can get it in a full rear door or a half rear door.

i have a 07 with the inline 5. its pretty quick but other then that im not into it. just like my cobalt i had, it has cheap interior and wasnt made nearly as well as the old s10's. I think in the long run you will miss the car and want it back.

Not a fan. There too small an the engine line up is lacking at best.I work on the Canyons(the GMC version) an they really aren't that well built. The engines don't feel like they make the power GM claims an have a tendence to vibrate in the higher RPMS.Just my .02

Just my opinion here, I've seen a few nice looking ones, but besides that they are basic and cheap, my GM has one and he dosent like it at all he said it rides just like his old explorer only differance is his explorer was a 98 with 256k and his colorado is a 09 I belive, not sure with 28k

What are you smoking? Your Monte for a Colorado? Get a cheaper truck and keep your Monte, simple as that..........The Colorado has inherent problems with the front end and it's a cheap hunka hunka junk......

Please be very sure of what you're doing. Myself, I could never trade a supercharged Dale Jr. on a Colorado. I still regret trading my '02 LS Sport Cavalier coupe for my '01 Tracker, because I thought I needed a more family friendly vehicle.

Is a Tracker really more family friendly than the Cavi? Sorry, don't mean to hi-jack the thread.

I wouldn't trade your Monte for a Colorado. And I'm not just saying that because I have the same car you do. I WOULD trade it for a better truck than the Colorado. I also heard they have a lot of problems. Just my personal taste, but I honestly feel a 4 cylinder truck is only for show, not practical for hauling anything. That's great if that's all you want it for. Not everybody hauls stuff in their truck. I would be more worried about the Colorado's reliability. I've heard it's not so good. Not like the old Chevy S-10's.
