Duane you should be proud of your accomplishment. Both cars look awesome. Every time I see one I want to kick myself for letting my 68 Torino GT ragtop go away.

Just another to add to the collection, Gregg!! We've been trying to convince my mother to let us put a quick paint job on a 4 door Torino or a station wagon for her to have a car to drive, but she won't have it.

Entice here with a bright red convertible with a white top. She wants a two door too. Lol.

And having a trunk bag that matches that mat is great! The Monte Carlo.... man, I almost waxed it a few weeks ago, but what it really needs is paint. It's got a spot of clearcoat peeling off the hood. So I'm not waxing it.. want to wear as much off as I can, wipe it down, and I'm going to paint it in the second week of April.

That gold Fairlane was actually for sale long before we ever got the Torino in April '09. It was sitting on US 1 in Wake Forest, NC, which is a major highway in those parts, for sale for a VERY long time. It would sit out there for a few months, then ti would disappear. Then it would come back, then it would disappear... well the Torino was restored in '10, and in October that year, my dad was riding by there after we had finished the Torino, saw it, and finally decided he was going to just stop and look at it himself. Dad talked him down to $4000. The car was running, had interior, just needed body work and some carpet. WE pulled the engine, all new gaskets, checked out everything (that engine was like new), and put 'er back in. Then we painted it, buffed it out, and kept on getting at it with that car too.
