Default Torino and Fairlane Pictures, buffed out

Here are a few pictures of my dad's '68 Fairlane Coupe and my Torino fastback!!!

We broke out the machine rubbing and machine polishing compounds, and even a little sand paper, and buffed out the Fairlane last weekend, and another buffing on the Torino this weekend. Here are the results.

They both look great Duane. Especially the Torino. I remember seeing the before pictures when you first got it. It takes a lot of work to make it look like you didn't do anything. (making it look like it did the day it rolled off the assembly line)

Thanks for the compliments, guys. I thoguht you would enjoy them. That trunk bag is very handy. I just bought it a couple of weeks ago. It really makes the trunk a lot more organized. Those of us who have done car shows, cruise ins, or just want to keep a car clean know how much trouble it is keeping up with your tire shine, spray wax, interior detailing, and shop towel.s Having that stuff scattering all over your trunk is a mess to keep looking tidy at a show. Having that plaid bag to match the trunk makes that bag look like it belongs. I used to have to set all that stuff on the ground behind my car to keep the trunk looking tidy, not anymore!! It's great, I love it. Not pictured in there is my 204 piece Craftsman tool set that every Ford owner carries with them at all times.

Most people do seem to gravitate towards the fastback Torino over the Fairlane when we go to shows together. It's just got that sporty look, big engine, and color that stands out to most people apparently. Occasionally though, someone just loves my dads car because a Fairlane coupe that was more a standard car back in the day sometimes bring out more memories from people than a fastback Torino does, actually. Always an interesting experience.

And the pictures Taz is referring to is from nearly 3 years ago now. I'll probably post this again on my cars anniversary, April 9, 2009. But this is the first day I had the car. I already had the tail lights, logos, and antenna off. I was ready to go!!

The Fairlane started out looking like this. No rust, was actually a running car. We went through the engine, did a little body work, installed new carpet, and took off with it.
