Dang, there are a lot of people out there unhappy with their Ford Explorers it would seem! LOL
At least Chevy got one car on the top 10 list of new cars being bought.

I agree with you 100% on that. This cash for clunkers money should ONLY be given to people buying new AMERICAN cars... Ford, GM, Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep... and not to people buying Hondas, Toyotas and other foreign brands. We're supposed to be trying to save the American auto industry, aren't we? Who gives a damn about sales of foreign cars?!

Glad to see I'm not the only one who feels like that. Some people I know (not here on MCF) are trying to convince me that kind of thinking is out of line.

I say tell that to all my friends and relatives (and their families) who lost their jobs because their plant closed down.

I have to disagree with that logic Taz.... "We make crappy cars and you don't buy them, so we'll make the government make you buy them." is the car company logic now. The only way you could really say that is because its the government giving you the money to buy the car, so they could tell you how to spend it.

As far as foreign cars and plants closing.... most "American" cars are made in Canada now. The Honda's, Toyota's, and Mazdas are being made right here just below you Taz
