Would you... modify/trade for supercharged/trade for Mustang?
So I'm kind of up in the air about what I want... I'm about to go on vacation and that's going to set me back for a while anyway...
I'm just kind of "blowing smoke" more than I am anything. Once I get back from my vacation, I need tires, mufflers, and some asundry parts for my F-100 that I am restoring. I'll probably be into that truck for another $1,000.
My Torino is basically where I want it. The only thing I might do is replace the rear springs to restore the right a bit... or have them "re arched".
Then there is my old faithful Monte Carlo. I'm sort of bored of driving it, I guess. In the past year, I've replaced the cowl seal, wheel bearings, a water pump and coolant elbows, and the a/c leaks a little bit of refrigarrant.
I looked into a Mustang... 2011+ with the 3.7L V6 with 300 hp from the factory. But... they're $17,500 or better for a good one with leather seats and decent wheels and package. Plus... it's the same as so many other cars on the road.
I thought about a new Chevy SS when tehy come out but I just can't afford a $45,000 car.
Then... what if I traded the Monte for a Monte? Mine has 136,000 miles. I could trade to an 04-05 supercharged for between $8-10,000 with less than 100,000 miles. I could undertake to supercharge the one I have. Or, for about $800-$1000 or so, I could buy a set of sway bars, polyurethane bushing, and an Eibach lowering spring set and KYB adjustable struts.
So... what would you do? I think with too new of a car my life is consumed in insurance and car payments sometimes, but I could more-less handle it... just wouldn't have as much spending money in my pocket. It's just that with a pick up truck and a '68 Torino on the insurance, it's hard to justify another nearly new car....

Modify your existing Monte, for the coin you will spend on an 06 07 Monte you will still end up being bored again. You need something that wakes you up when your out on the town. Turbo Monte has the Car Tuning turbo kit and it just boils the tires off. And you won't have another car payment and no full coverage insurance. The 6th gen's rule!!

Duane: Im with Greg!
Id keep the Monte.... Do suspension upgrades....Then maybe later supercharge it! Look what you have into it now....Not to mention you also just painted it! i think its a no brainer!

I like what Greg has to say, Duane you love working on cars, so maybe do the supercharger and suspension upgrades? But you also really need a reliable daily driver and can you use the truck or the torino for transportation to your teaching job?
