Said one of our grizzled old-timers (Dennis Simanaitis,actually), "A convertible top forgives a multitude of automotive sins." And, infact, he said this back when soft-top cars were known for sins aplenty: They leaked in the rain, rattled when down and batted when up. All that is past, though. The Bentley Continental GTC Speed, Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible, Infiniti G37 Convertible, Mini Cooper S Convertible and Porsche Boxster S PDK are exemplary of today's retracting-top way of life, and there's not a sinner among them.
We took these 5-to-Drive cars on a photographic tour of Southern California, starting and ending at our Newport Beach offices and encompassing the sun-saturated environs of Palm Springs, the positively lunar aspects of a volcanic cinder mine, the historic Harvey House railway venue in Barstow, a mountaintop (and snow-showered!) visit to Big Bear and plenty of open vistas in between. Great sights all, and more than a few excellent driving roads. We swapped car to car along the way, though this is hardly a comparison test of any sort. Think of it as traveling the Sunshine Special.

Thats right, The JJ Express only boards MC owners and takes aim to all to all that are not. It will ride to places that no train had gone before and the Holden Plant to pick up some new MCs.
