That's the same kind of attitude Popcorn King JJ got when he tried talking to some 4th gen owner at the cars-n-coffee gathering he frequented.

At least be polite when someone compliments you.

Geez just take the freakin compliment..... Maybe if you told him it sucked he would have listened..

Truly, a simple "thank you" for the compliment, perhaps accompanied with a wave or thumbs up is sufficient. I know I've gotten next to people in awesome cars, beeps the horn and gave a thumbs up, everytime I was greeted with a polite "thank you" wave or thumbs up.

Personally, I like when people feel the urge to compliment my car (when I put the hood on the Camaro, I got a reasonable amount of stranger compliments).
