honestly my plan for it is to get it fixed up just enough to be able to drive it to shows and leave a for sale sign in the window. figure if i can keep my inital investment around $2500 to get it on the road, see if i can get $6500 for it and make a nice little profit

That's great that the interior is in decent shape other than the head liner and t-tops. Go for it.

When I get back from deployment I'll likely be picking up a mid 80s or so Grand Prix. If I come across a good deal on a 2+2 I'll jump on it but most likely I'll have to settle for a regular GP. Not that I'd complain cause I really like those cars. You don't see them nearly as often at cruise ins and shows as you do most of the other G-bodies. Plus I have ideas. Sleeper-related ideas

I'd call NY and tell them one of their taxi cabs was stolen

When you do buy one, check it for remnants of taxi cab yellow paint.

Seriously, buy that one off of skylark65 Ryan. Drop in one of those big, bad-*** Chevy crate motors in it. I like the idea of a sleeper. They're fun!

I don't mean to sound like a pessimist, but if it sounds too good to be true....it probably is. On the other side, $1,500 isn't really alot of money if you like it enough and can afford it. Good luck with your decision!
