Salem Utah car show photo's (Win)
Local town having their annual week long Salem Days event. There was a car show for this too, actually was quite a few cars in attendance.
Guess what won mayors choice... Yep a 56 Chevy, Police chiefs choice 36 Ford, yada yada yada. It's so disheartening to the people with the late model cars to rarely see any recogition. I would bring up this subjest to most late model owners and they concour we need a car show 1974 and newer. So were going to try and organize the event, but may be to late in the season, but will at least get the idea in motion and on a schedule for next year.
The good news is my Monte actually pulled off a "Sponsor win" which shocked me. There were some pretty trick late model cars present. I was lucky enough to set up next to all GM cars. Vettes, a WS6 Trans Am fresh from the Barrett Jackson auction block in Vegas.

Holy crap I didn't know you went with louvers. That looks AWESOME!
Nice shots! I'd still trade my WS6 for your car, even if it was an attempt to get out of the FWD scene Amazing Monte you have!

Look at some of the past thread about the 2014 GM Nationals, some members posted a few much better pictures of my Monte. The louvers were the one off mod I wanted to have done. They actually went over quite well. Just the right touch for a more dark look. Many Mustang / Camaro owners and forum members at the GM Nats felt they worked well with the car. Almost 2.5 months to build, finish, fit. Thanks

Congrats on your win, and I totally agree with your preconceived notion towards newer cars not getting any love at car shows. The judges always seem to lean towards the older cars, even though we dedicate just as much time, money, sweat and tears towards our cars.

I'll take a look at the threads, definitely a well done mod!
