Sorry to read the Chevelle is sick and needed to see a specialist.

I know 2005 was the first time in (then) 17 yrs the 2-door Wagon spent the night outside and NOT at home. We were at the Classic Chevy convention in West Chester, OH. I didn't like it. Even thought it was in a somewhat secure lot.

Hi Space. You know the more I read about you. The more I think your one very COOL Dude. But I couldn't sleep out there. My sleeping bags are with my grandson & his dad doing a boy scout outing. Plus I think my wife & kids might have me comitted if I did that. I did sleep in the back of the Chevelle a couple of times in the last 6 yrs. When the Chevelle club goes to The Car Craft nat's here in Minn. We all meet about 1 am outside the fair grounds. More of a party then anything else. Were the 1st one's in line most yrs. By morning cars are lined up so far down. That they have to open the grounds and stage us in there till it's time to open & set up. The back seat is just big enough to take a pretty good nap.
Childsplay. I've slept in my '57s so much it's not funny. And slept in the barn with them. infact there's a local rumor........... I live in the barn with them.
There's more then enough room in the back of a '57 Sedan Delivery for you and your lady friend to nap.

PS. Space is a cool alien dude.

Well She's back. Everything checks out. But the noise is still there. Sooo. When we get some more time. Were going to change the fluid in the rear end and check the ring & pinion to see how its riding. Mark it with paint then turn it. See how it's wearing. But for now between three of us. No need to do anything. Sooo. It's Play time. ha ha ha ha. Took her for a quick spin around the N,hood opened the electric cutouts made a little noise. Ran it thru the gears. Now were home. I have to head to Bloomington this afternoon. So it will have to wait till this evening to play a little more. But it feels good to her back home.

lol, this sounds like me on the rare occasions my monte is away for some reason. Feels like a part of me is missing. :p

Also I saw a beautiful Chevelle SS here the other day and it reminded me of yours! It was black and yellow though, but perfectly, stunningly pristine!

I went insane when my monte sat for almost a month and a hlaf when my lower intake gasket went out, I had to tow her out to the count and pull the motor and swapped it when I found the crank was scarred. I had to get anout 3.1 cuz money was tight and its my main transportation, since I got tboned in my 93 sr20 swap s13 hatch and that was totalled. But my motor is stronger than ever and has fresh felpro gaskets from head gasket up. Much chevy monte love I send to you for when your chevelle was down

It always hurts when your old car is sick... Give it a good car cover and tuck it in.....

Well things are back in order. Chevelle is running good. Monte needs a bath this morning. Thats my main interest today. Then next week. Taking her to the shop. Getting the hood repainted & the back bumper cover. Stone chips on the hood. And a few scratchs on the bumper cover. Might be from the garage door. But that will never happen again. Theres a plate on the inside & outside. To help lower the garage door by had. Well guess what. Their gone now. Trying to have 3 chevy's in the garage takes a little time. The Chevelle is in the 3rd stall. Then on the other wall My wife's Cobalt. Then in the middle at an angle is the Monte. So it's not a shut off & run. You have to take your time getting in & out. But Man it's worth it. To have a couple of nice cars.
