Lol, no the original owner was an older man and as far as I can tell kept it stock. that is the stock tire size for these. the mechanic told me it was because the rear end would sit pretty high with larger tires and also because it helps get better mpg if you baby it, but those tires will have to go by next winter lol. And didnt plan on any crashes, I've onyl had one wreck myself and that was form my own stupidity when I was younger but the info is good to know lol. put 50 bucks in her and so far I must say I'm impressed with the mileage for the truck and the ride feels new I've owned a 96 chevy 1500 wuth 135k, a 99 Ram 1500 with 98k and a 01 Ram 1500 Sport with 102k (all those numbers were the miles I bought them with) and I loved all of those trucks but I'm sad to say it...I'm very impressed with the Ford with the gas mileage and hadling and comfort of ride. I know it has a lot les smiles which has to factor in but hey its my first Ford and so far I like it, by no means will I ever like it as much as my other brands well publicly anyways lol but thanks guys
