Yes, it was an SS - I'm thinking '07, but I couldn't see the nose to tell but the tail didn't look like mine, if that means anything.
here's the first pic from behind... you'll have to zoom some, Rear of Painted monte

oh noooooo.....
Wow !
Here is another theory. It looks like that there is paint only on the passenger side ? Could this have been a wrong place, wrong time accident ? Maybe a scalfoding fell near it ?
OR..It's like everyone else is thinking.....somebody made someone very mad.

I'm not sure. I thought at first it was from an accident AND I remember just the other day seeing a huge paint spray on the interstate (was thinking it would suck to drive through while wet... fortunately it was dry by the time I saw it), but there doesn't appear to be any vehicle accident-type damage that I saw AND its in the interior (all over the dash and such all the way over to drivers side and steering wheel). There is no passenger side damage (broken window and such) that would allow for that to happen that I can see from looking at the pattern.
Yes, it does appear that someone started peeling some of the paint, could be why it appears heavy on the passenger side. The drivers window was down (didn't appear broken). I assume that may have been for the tow guy or an attempt to move/drive it.
After Taz mentioned the selective damage, I definitely lean toward a peed-off (urinated on ... paying homage to Netz111) ex or something. Thats as bad or worse than a cat full of laxatives thrown in your car.

Poor thing.
1997 my mom just took delivery of her new (black) Chrysler LHS. I drove the car to see my girlfriend who was working at the mall at the time. When I turned on the road behind the mall I notice a paint sprayer re-spraying the lines on the road. I made sure to steer clear of the paint and the sprayer. When I get home...... the entire pass side of my mom's new black car is now YELLOW!
My parents called a few body shops who said to buy a thinner called: 3812. They said it would remove the road paint and not hurt the new finish on the car.
With the paint they use on the roads, they grind up glass and mix it in. to give the lines the reflective qualities at night. It took me the rest of the day to get the yellow paint off that car. My fingers were sore for days cause I more or les had to scrape the paint with my finger nails to get it off.
