OnStar Question
So today I realized my OnStar had Bluetooth. I've never dealt with OnStar before so this is all new to me. While pulling out my dash I accidentally hit the mirror with the dash pressing the handsfree menu. I looked up some of the commands for it, so I tried going back down and toying with it some more and when I said "Add a Device", it then said it was trying to connect to a OnStar customer service line or something and all I kept getting was a beeping sound for about 1 min. Eventually I just said the hell with it and gave up. What do I need to do to pair up my phone with the handsfree in my Monte?
Hands-Free Calling - Voice Activated Dialing - OnStar
It doesn't have bluetooth, unfortunately. It does, however, have hands-free calling, but you have to pay extra for it.
There's like a $300 module that you can buy to make your On-Star call button act as a Bluetooth button though, but that's way too expensive.

My 2002's Onstar doesn't work... It says I need to upgrade & contact my dealer... It never actually connects to the Onstar network... I'm surprised your 2001 will actually connect...
I never intend to activate it, just having it in the car gave me privacy vibes.
I pulled the plugs on the OnStar module in the trunk. Push the blue button, nothing happens. No one sang "Daisy". Map lights in mirror still work.

Anyone know how much that will cost?
