Google the VIN. If it was sold at a reputable auction, there is a good chance there are pictures. Salvage can be for a number of reasons. The car may have been a flood victim. Most states will not let a salvage car be sold unless it is to a garage. Then they transform it into a rebuilt title car after being certified roadworthy. Good luck. I bought a 2014 Malibu LT that barely had a scratch, but ended up spending almost $1500 on electronics. I suspect it was a flood car, or driven into the water.
