Default New Laptop

I just went out to Best Buy today to pick up a new laptop. My old one was on the fritz. I got myself a Dell Inspiron notebook in Pacific blue. It has 3GB memory, a 160GB hard drive, 2.16GHz processor (Intel Pentium Dual Core). It has Windows Vista Home Premium installed. Its a real nice laptop, its light and it looks good. I paid $486 in the end. So far Im happy with it. Vista is fun and it loads internet pages pretty fast. Still getting used to it though. Its my first computer that isnt a compaq presario and its the first time Ive used vista. Here is a photo of what I got:

Hey space, I saw the same laptop you have for sale at Office Depot for $389.99. I almost bought it but no one would help me there so I left in a storm. Ill spend a little more somewhere that I know will help me with any problems.

The keyboards setups are the same between my old computer and this one. The only thing is I keep hitting function buttons while Im typing and opening new things by accident, lol. I was typing this earlier but I somehow closed the window mid way through and gave up and went to dinner. The "mouse" pad is different on this one. Its moulded into the base unlike the compaq which had a little recessed box in the center.

Im surprised your compaq lasted as long as it did. Mine is about 4 years old and its starting to go. Ill probably keep it for photos and things until it dies.

Hi `Matt, when I checked Office Depot, their model had
less features & lower Ram/MBs etc.
I just checked their web site @ Home Depot & couldn't find
it on there site : (
Does your laptop produce a lot of heat ?
Mine kicks out some hot air, but it's super hot 2day
in Florida, and the guest house I'm staying only has
a small window unit that's not doing the `job.
The Price we pay 2 live in Paradise : ) LOL
Hope the reader of this is hav'in a Super day,
Peace/Out

Good Luck with your new toy `Matt : )
I love mine & being able to watch vid's : )
The ZR1 vid I've played a 100 times : )

Lol I didnt know home depot sold lap tops. I should have looked there before I made my decision. Maybe I could have gotten a better deal. lol.
My laptop doesnt pump out too much heat, then again I am sitting in the 70 degree A/C.
Definately runs cooler than my old one.

Have fun down in sunny Florida space, do some surfin for me when you get a chance.
Be cool.

thought I made a bad buy & it took away $'s from
my Monte Buy'in Fund. WTF

I have the 2nd model below...It's still a better price by
about $30.
