I am in the central Indiana camaro club and we are putting on a show in september. From whathas been said gm has had a little chat with the dealerships and will not tollerate markups. We will see about that.As for as buying first year. There better not be any problems gm has had more than enough time to work out the bugs.I know that it hasent went into production but I really cant wait to test drive one of these as soon as I can.I also cant wait for the vert.

As far as gas prices. Most people that buy the challengers do not daily drive them. I have seen all old guys drive em, the few that I hace seen at least. They are shiny as hell, the owners keep em in the garage polish them all week and drive them twice a month.

That's the fate that I see for the Camaro unfortunately. Bought as collector's items by rich older guys. You average bowtie fan will never be able to afford one at that price.

The Camaro V8 will cost only slightly higher then the Monte V8. This really has been promised since the beginning. I would expect to get a SS/RS for around 33 grand. My top limit is 35 and if I have to drop the RS packaget to get there I will then save up a bit more and send it out to Yanko or simular for upgrades.

Since it hasn't gone into mass production, that would mean that all the existing ones were custom made more or less, would it not? Most problems arise from the mass production process don't they?
