Exciting, got the email earlier today about it.

If I get one it'll be 2SS/RS and that might be possible if I end up being an RA for the rest of my time in school... Then I'd have to decide between Monte or Camaro when nice out... Oh man, now I'm probably not going to do my 200hp quad conversion.

I thought the 2SS would be at around the $40k mark also.

But I want to know what the deal is with making the compact spare tire and wheel a $150 OPTION. WTF???
If I don't get the optional compact spare, do I get a full size spare for free? Or do I not get a spare at all?
Or is it simply a case of the spare is not an option after all. And they just automatically tack on the $150 to the price tag whether you like it or not.

And the carpetted front is a $60 option? If I don't pay, do I get bare sheet metal?
How much are they charging for the optional steering wheel?

Kinda think the tires will be runflat.

I was also wondering about that front carpet, what's the base if not carpet?

I'm hoping that I can wait long enough to see the convertible, and if they offer a vert with the same specs as the 2SS that'll be my car. Orange please

No spare tire? We got a mini air compressor in the back of our Solstice. No room for a spare. Add up all the "loaded" options, and it gets right close to the 40k mark.

I was just thinking the same as Wayne.

Add up all the little things that should normally come with a car, like carpet and spare tire, and it'll quickly add up to almost $40k.
