Well this is way off topic, but here goes. I had an interesting experience with my '05 Malibu Classic today. When I went to start it, it caught but then stalled...and when I pulled up to pull out of the drive, I sat for about 15 seconds and the car just stalled...it has 50,000 miles with the 2.2L I4...any ideas? lol. Thanks.

Hi Ryan,
I'm confused by your post ?
When you wrote it started, then stalled ? Did it sound like a starter problems, or fuel problem ? etc. ?
When you wrote I sat for 15 seconds, was your car in gear ?
What gear was it inas you were sitting there ?
Were you try'in to `go, but it wouldn't ?
Is this the first time that it has happened ?
Did it start right `up after it stalled ?
I will check back for your answers/clarifications on problems.

Sorry guys....brain fart moment...When I went to start it the first time, after I had eaten, I thought it started but it didn't...It started up after about 3 cranks that time...I pulled out of my parking spot, went to the end of the lot and sat with my car in gear waiting for traffic to clear and it stalled again...after putting the car in park and cranking about 4 or 5 times, it finally started again...This is the first time the car has done this and it is making me a little nervous...lol.

Hi `Ryan,
Has your Malibu ever been tuned ? Fuel Filter Changed ?
Air Filter ?
Maybe `SeaFoam would help ?
Have you every cleaned the MAF sensor ?
Sounds like a fuel problem ? Maybe ?
I think it's worth checking it out.
Are you the first owner, and `if not do you know how it
has been maintained ?
Keep us updated, and I hope our expert tech members
post their thoughts/suggestions.

did you just recently fill up? this happened to my parents Suburban several years ago and it turned out the gas station was low on gas, and they pumped some sludge from the bottom of the tank (Teh one in the ground) into their own tank. you just got to keep it reved up and running hard. if the tnaker was in frotn of the place hwen you pulled in, the gas going into the tank stirred up the sludge and you coudl have pumped it that way too.
