Good morning guys, hope everyone had a good weekend. Less than 4 weeks til I get married!
Yesterday I did my last car show for the year - Milford's 33rd An. Got there at 6am to get in line and was there with some Michigan Monte Carlo Club members and Tadd also came out with his Camaro. A total of 380 cars in the show. I ended up taking first place in my class, '1995-Present Stock', and Tadd got runner up in the same class. Probably 10-15 cars in our class.
Wow! Congrats on both your wedding and your win at the Car show.
Wow, that's awesome Matt! Congratulations on the win.
Thanks for representing us well, and congratulations on your upcoming marriage. Getting nervous? Has reality sunk in yet?
Steady progress form me. In the past week-and-a- half, I've replaced rear stuts (fronts done about 10K ago), front and rear stabilizer links, brake rotors and pads on all four, both C/V axles, control arms, front wheel hubs, outer tie rod ends, an alignment and new tires for both the 2000 SS's. What a difference in ride and handling. I didn't even realize one of the C/V's was bad until I saw the grease pattern that was slung out around the inner boot. The joint just pulled apart spilling needle bearings everywhere when I pulled on it. The whining noise that I thought was transmission went away too.
Replaced the carpet in "Black Knight II" Saturday, trunk liner next.
Well I found my way to a Car show in West point, Nebraska on Sunday they had about 600 Cars there and a bunch of Motor Cycles as well. some of the better photo's I am attaching. Also check the post I made in meetings as well. this was called the Last Fling till Spring.

Good morning guys and thanks for all the congrats! I didn't think in the slightest that I was going to win anything at that show. Here's a couple more shots of the cars. They had em lining Main St in Downtown Milford for half a mile plus 3 parking lots and a park.

Good morning guys. First day of Fall and it's been sweltering here... yesterday the car read 95 degrees on the drive home and today/tomorrow are both suppose to get up to 90.

Yes, it was unexpected! There were quite a few nice cars in our class including several Camaros, a couple Challengers and a nice Mark VIII that I can remember.

I always loved the Mark VIII. I always swore I'd drive one one day when I could afford. But now they are mostly rotted out junk - nice ones are few and far between and taking care of an old (but sophisticated) Lincoln has to be impossible. So yeah, that would have been a cool one to see

Good morning guys. Been super hot here for the past five or so days. Official highs were 89 Thursday, 89 Friday, 91 Saturday and 89 yesterday. Humidity made it even hotter, the car was showing readings in the mid-90s on a few of those days.
I had my bachelor party Saturday night and one stop was the Red Wings game which was the first ever Wings game at the new arena. Really good time, Wings won 5-1 - highlights below...
