Good morning guys. 20 degrees this morning. Looks like we're dodging a major bullet with this snowstorm that's passing just to the south of us. We might get a few isolated flurries but not expecting anything.

Working toward a full reveal of Michigan Monte Carlo Club's 2019 Spring Meet. Just yesterday we got Dixie Restoration Depot as a sponsor for the Meet and they're donating some prizes and literature.

Countdowns - 36 days til Daytona - 67 days til spring - 119 days til Michigan Monte Carlo Club's Spring Meet

Morning everyone, it's been a unusual winter here in Mn. Most of the snow has missed my area this year, also been lucky that the deep freeze hasn't been as bad this year. I'm so ready for the thaw to start. Slowly starting to accumulate some parts for the Monte. I picked up a rust free High sport trunk lid the other night for $50 off of craigslist and the guy threw in a set of tail lights. Plans in a few weeks to pick up a stall convertor and a set of rear coil overs to set the rear ride height. Still got a big list of wants and needs but hopefully I will start on bodywork soon. Enjoy the weekend MCF members .

Wow, sorry to hear that. You guys got more snow in that one storm than what we've had in southern MI this entire winter season so far. 90% of the snow we have got this season was in November.

Yeah that's rare for us, we normally just get Trace amounts of snow until January. They are calling for 1 to 3 inches of snow on us this weekend, but mixed freezing rain. That's more typical winter weather for us.

Still waiting on the insurance company's final figures, hope they're generous but don't count on it lol.
If they do total it with a fair dollar figure I will be in the market for either a 7th gen SS or a two-wheel drive V8 bowtie pickup. I already have a 07 Chevy 4x4 hd Silverado. A two-wheel drive with the 5.3 or the v6 would be nice for dd.

Saturday morning slept in for once, we got some snow last night but it was only what I call a skiff. got it pushed off the driveway and the sidewalks. Maybe it was an inch but not more than that. However east and south there is a bunch falling. it jumps to 6.5 inches and still snowing in 50 miles. and south 50 miles 8 inches.

Cool

Today is Sunday 1-13 and we dodged the snow storm that left 8inchs of snow south of me 50 miles, and went all the way to the East Coast of Nebraska and probably further as well. Enjoy your Sunday.

Good morning guys. 11 degrees this morning. I've been seeing a lot of chatter of a significant snow maker this weekend. No real talk of specific snowfall amounts or tracking yet, as it's still too early, but what I am seeing right now is a potential for a direct hit where I am - right now our forecast is showing 2-6". Depending on a lot of variables it could clobber us or miss us altogether so we'll see.

The North American Int'l Auto Show in Detroit kicks off today. First thing this morning 8-8:30am, the 2019 North American car - truck - SUV of the year will be announced and then there will be a bunch of other reveals throughout the day (I'll try to update as the day progresses). Chevrolet has been teasing an all-new crossover/SUV so I'm watching for that.

REVEAL > Cadillac's all-new 2020 XT6 was revealed last night. This Traverse-size crossover will slot in-between the XT5 and Escalade in Cadillac's crossover/SUV lineup.

REVEAL > Ford's all-new 2020 Explorer was revealed in Detroit last week. This is the 6th generation of the SUV.
