What you guys think? And if you think its worth it, what schools do you guys recommend? As car guru guys, I would like to hear opinions about this,as i may be looking to learn more on my car.

If you want to turn wrenches for a dealership or local shop an education from a local college or trade school should get your foot in the door. Expect simple, basic jobs until your skill and confidence is recognized.
If you want to go ***** to the wall and want to work in a custom shop or for a race team then Lincoln Tech or UTI is your best bet.
No matter what, if you plan to enter the field then yes, training and certification is a prerequisite. Without it you won't get far.

I went to RANKEN at night class for auto tech.. then I got a job at USPS
working on mail trucks big & small..
They are getting ready to hire six more Mechanic's ..
You have to take a written test then a hand's on test..

If you want to work on "Someone Else's " car the rest of your life, then get certified. If you want to get better at Turning Tools on your car, go to Barns & Noble! You can buy the books and learn as you go. At your own Pace!
