That and half the time websites that claim to magically fix your computer just screw it up more or give you a virus

I couldnt agree more... and then you never even know if what they find is real or a faux issue to get you to waste your money on them! I havent had a virus in so long...But then again....I dont go to "those" kinda sites either!

I do know that my resuts were the same as yours space as far as download and upload speeds...(Which is good for me) Since I dont do a whole lot of uploading or downloading on my computer...In other words my net surfing is at a minimum...Besides my email and here....Is as much of the "surfing" i do on a daily basis!

I could set (clock) my computer to run fast thru the bios....But whats the point? It doesnt make the info from your service provider any quicker than the internet speed your getting...
Its only other benefit of re clocking it would be to maybe play a non internet involved game that you load into your disk drive and play...Thats about it...

I've seen that many times where you go to a website, and you get a popup that pretends to be a warning from windows claiming that you a virus was found on your system. It includes a link that it tells you to click to clean the virus off your system. It's a fake warning. And the link takes you to a website that uploads a virus onto your system.
