I would like to install the trip computer and was wondering if anyone knows if the wiring harness is there if the option didn't come from the factory? Has anyone tried this? Did a search and didn't find anything. Thanks for the help.

 

I do believe the harness should be there. I've seen the consoles on e-bay a couple of times as well. You may want to pull the roof and piller panels just to confirm this.

Forgot to add, the harness is on the same harness section as the rearview mirror lights. If the console harness wires are not in/around the console area follow the wires from your mirror lights back.

i agree with TVM most of the time GM sends out one harness for that make of car and then they install what they need to on that car for options

the only thing you might have to do and im guessing here so dont take it to heart )
is you might have to go to the dealer after you do it and have the computer programed to know it is there but i seriously doubt this. but might check on it to/.

ethier way it is fessabel for you to add this.
you could even add the guages for your car if they are not there most of the time the wireing is .
just plug them in and the sensors in the right places you have to changeg the sensors for the guages due to the idiot lights not needing the same signal ( i know this one the hard way LOL )
