Long Journey to a new Home!
#45
Hey JC glad to see the trip is going well. I like the pic of Mt Rushmore I've been there before but it was a long time ago lol, I hope the rest of your sailing is smooth and uneventful

Nice stop you made on your travels JC, I have been to the Badlands, camped there for a couple of nights. Rattlesnakes and prairie dogs down in the gullies and such. Quite the colorful place though. To bad you did not stop at Devil's Tower in Wyoming.
Anyway, we all hope your closing in on your target and your journey ends smoothly our friend. What brought about this cross country move anyway, you chasing jobs, better weather too, it's luscious green up there most of the time for sure. Take care Mr. and Mrs. J.C.

Update
Good Morning MCF.
We are now in Livingston Montana, at the Northern Corner of Yellowstone National Park. I've been mesmerized but the contours of the Rocky Mountains. And they are So Huge! You can see then from at least 35 miles away. (35 miles is the Farthest distance you can see from Ground Level due to the curve of the earth) The Rockys don't come over the Horizon, they are the horizon. As we were driving along the I90 you begin to see the shapes and contures. The snow capped mountains go from looking like part of the sky with dark shadows, to ice covered peeks and green valleys. It is simply amazing. And that is just the north eastern Side of the mountains. We still haven't passed thru them yet.
So today is the last leg of this trip. 699 miles left. So far I e clocked 2343 miles on My Minion. The low oil level light came on last night. I was expecting it sooner. The oil filter housing is cracked. I new this before I left so I carried 4 quarts of oil. On Mo's car, the plastic wheel well on the front passenger side lost a clip or 2. So i have to secure it with Zipp ties. But I tell you, for 2 car in the mist of what is there Longest consistent trip, that's not bad. And lord know these cars have never done 85 mph for Hundreds of mile before.
Oh yeah guys, from Mid Wyoming on I90, to just before the Montana border, the speed limit is 80mph! At least 350 miles of 80 mph! I set the cruise control for 83 and just let her go. When I saw a cop (Highway Patrol) my instinct was to disengage my cruise. But then I realized that I was only doing 3 miles over the speed limit. Wow, to speed past a cop and he not even give you a glance, Wow!!!!!
So we are still on NY time. We were all awake at 4 am Montana Time. (That's 6am NY time). So now I fined myself waiting on day light so I can Jerry Rig that wheel well and throw a couple of quarts of oil in my car. Then it's off to join the races.
NEXT STOP IS KENT, Wa!
Yay
