Unhappy Lola got rammed into leaving the pats game

So as i waited in line for the statey to let everyone out a guy gets into his escape no one is moving at all. he starts swearing and flipping off a guy in a mini cooper clubman then me. I had been waiting in line and wasing going to let him in especially since he started yelling and flipping me off with no response. passerbys all come up and say dont let him in so once he is behind me he shunts the car pretty hard. I asked passers if there was any damage they said no as he continued to flip. the whole time I ignored him when he started i said "I've been waiting awhile so wait your turn (NICELY)". after he hit lola my roommate said have a merry christmas to him twice while he flipped us off. this happened over 5-10 mins and the car moved maybe 5 feet.

HERE IS THE DAMAGE

I did not tell the statey at the gate and let it go as i assumed no damage but no good deed goes unpunished. Here's hoping some good will in return cause right now its downright unfair.

So he tapped your car? Dude if that woulda been my car, im sorry, I have a very bipolar attitude and we woulda been fighting lol, or I woulda sat there, called the cops, got his info, and recorded him and SUED him. The way to hurt people now a days is not violently, but by hurting his money. AND he was clearly in the wrong. Sorry that happened to you buddy..but if that was my 07..I woulda went to jail for some things..lol

Why would you take someone elses word about the damage?
I would have definitely got out and checked it out... since he like you were pinned in traffic.... he couldn't run away... I'd not only called pd but i would have wrote down all the info i could get from him. plate color/kind of car, vin# etc.. and i wouldn't have moved til PD arrived.... That's some serious damage... I would have never let that slide.....ever!
Ya I have full coverage insurance... I would have made him pay my deductible... but that's considered a hit and run if you ask me.
I'm guessing you don't have full coverage...which means your going to have to come out of pocket for it. Maybe...he didn't have any insurance...Eeeeek!

Sorry to see this happened ...It sucks!

Sorry to hear about Lola, it is true that no good deed goes unpunished and glad you were able to hold your temper, most people wouldn't be able to do that. I know I personally would have ended up in jail if someone did that to my car. One time a guy was yelling and walking by the wifes car in a slushy parking lot and he slipped and in his frustration slapped the rear window, I was unbuckled and out of the car in about 0.005 of a second and was ready for war. Thankfully I was able to control myself and let it go, but "road rage" is a terrible thing and effects many, many people. Again sorry to hear about your car, but glad to hear you didn't get suckered in to a potentially bad situation all around.

That does suck. The moment he hit your car, that's time to grab plate and car info. That sucks.

Yeah the sucks but you probably would have went through a bunch of hassle for little or no reward. The cop probably wouldn't have wrote him a ticket because it happened on private property and then you would have to sue the owner for the damages. In court its your word against his and who knows how that could turn out. At least that's how it would be here in Michigan

At least in Ohio, ticket or not, if a cop was called, a report would have to be filed along with exchanging insurance information. Odds are, since it was on private property, a citation would not be issued, but the other guy's insurance would still be on the hook for it.
Granted, that's based on my knowledge of things in Ohio.

Regardless, getting a cop on it and getting the plate/make/model of the vehicle involved, you have nothing to loose.
