Default Greg Zippy leaving JGR to go to Stewart!

Zipadelli to crew chief for Patrick in Daytona 500 - Dec 16, 2011 - NASCAR.COM

Basically, Greg Zipadelli, who won races and 2 championsihps with Stewart from 1999 to 2008, will be leaving Joey Logano and the 20 team to go to Stewart-Haas racing to be a competition director, and be the crew chief for Danica's 4 races.

It seems like Stewart is luring all his old buddies from JGR over to his new team. Addington worked at Gibbs in the 2000s, and now he is getting his old crew chief... better watching out for Stewart again in 2012...

zippys move was a surprise and it wasn't
as soon as stewart left we all wondered how long it would take for zippy to make the move too.

my initial thought is this looks good on paper, but now working with buddies i wonder if that might not be a good thing. As co-workers good, but as tony as his boss maybe not. when zippy and tony had issues they had Gibbs to settle the problems, now its Tonys way or the highway. Zippy might not appreciate that.

As for Lagano, Ratcliff will be his CC. I believe he was a gibbs CC in the nationwide. He's got some pressure on him for sure to get sliced bread in victory lane to keep home depot happy.
