Paid $4.24 per gallon here in Connecticut this evening. I work 2pm-10pm and used to like to go on a late night cruise w/ no destination in mind just to chill out....those days a long gone for the time being

 

Well, it's making me watch my driving more carefully. I've got about a 50 mile round-trip commute to work 4 days/week, which doesn't leave me a lot of driving that I can do by choice during the week.
All of my friends either live down-county (closest is about 35 min away) or out on Long Island, which is at least an hour away and over a bridge that costs $6 each way. I guess I won't be seeing a lot of my friends this summer.

 

I achieved a record in fuel economy last week - could tell when I went 430 miles on a tank of gas.

Usually I surrender and fill up at 380 miles even if the DIC says I have 80 miles to E.

Calculated it out - made 29 mpg. Credit the improvement to driving like an old man.

 

That's some good mileage!

 

 

We really don't go anywhere on weekends anymore ! We used to go for drives in MC to country. Now... I feel guilty going for drives with other bills that need paid... ???
