I would say my Monte kind of helped get me started in life. And I was kind of lucky to even get it.

As a little back story my first car was a 96' thunderbird. It was a good starter car, but as soon as I got a decent job and started making some pretty ok money I wanted something better and a little more sporty. I ended up finding a 96' Pontiac firebird pro am edition which for those who don't know is a special edition that they did (obviously lol) and the car only had like 20k miles. It was garage kept and was in really good shape. Here is what the car looks like

They wanted almost $10,000 for the car and since it was an older car banks didn't want to give me a loan for it. So we ended up getting ready to leave and as we were leaving a gorgeous 2006 Monte Carlo SS drove on the lot. We asked what it was price at and they said $15k which I thought was over my budget. We ended up trying for it and I managed to be able to afford it and I drove off the lot in my new Monte. It helped me get my credit built up and be able to get started in life, so I would say it has helped out a lot. I now have moved on to a 2006 Mustang GT but my Monte will always hold a special place in my heart lol.

hmmmm...lets see....
In the two years I've owned the monte it has made me more social in life, helped boost my detailing business, opened up a whole new world in cars I never expected. I used to be a hermit, never went out, always worked and then stayed home..

I've traveled off LI for the first time by my self, and out of ny state... multiple times. Plan on many more trips.. and best of all the people I've met thanks to my monte are irreplaceable. As silly as it sounds to others, you all do feel like a extended family & finally thanks to it I've met one of the most amazing guys in my life

For me I've say yes. This is the 3rd csr I've ownded and I've never been more determined to work hsrder to get it the way I want. I'd say when I use to live with ma mom which was a terrible neighborhood it kept me outts trouble by working on it. I also was terrified tht one day it wasn't gonna be there when I woke up haha. But ya. I'd say goodol jack has kept me outta some trouble. Glad its ma car

This Monte has taken me places I couldn't have imagined.

I found this forum and made tons of friends that I would never want to get rid of.

All great stories. I happened across my Monte Addiction by ccident, literally. So as the story goes, I bought a Polaris 2up quad in 2011 (2008 model) and drove it like I stole it. (I'm also addicted to speed and adrenaline) . I installed new tires and took it for a test ride behind my house in 2012. Had an accident and broke 5 ribs. Fixed the broken plastic and the boss said it had to go. Placed it on craigslist and was looking for trades. Many offers for mustangs, fords, blah blah blah. Saw a picture of a 87Monte ss in black. Rented a uhaul trailer, loaded the quad and off I went. Took the monte for a wild ride (sbc350 making 400 hp) and made the deal. I was hooked. Since then, I also sold my boat and bought another Monte, aero coupe this time with some special goodies included. Now all my addictions are fulfilled and recovery will happen when I'm dead. Viva La Monte.
