I've tried driving with just my knees once. In the parking lot of an old abandoned Home Depot. I would never want to try that in traffic.

It depends on the car.... The Monte, with the big side pads with the radio controllers, I usually grip at the "10 and 2" or at "4 and 7" depending on how my arms and chest and teh such feel. The Torino without power steering is almost a requirement to two hand the wheel... and the older cars steering wheels are more comfortable at 10 and 2... you can almost rest your arm on the steering wheel since it is closer and at a different angle than newer cars steering wheels and doesn't adjust anyway.

Duane you need one of these for the Torino. I think they are illegal in most states tho.

They are illegal... plus, they're kind of tacky and if you're going to follow it, your hands have to make a complete circle. I like to keep my arm pulling or going across the top of the wheel... That awkward position when that thing is at the bottom would be terrible.

They were really built for 18 wheelers, where the steering wheel angle is more like a desk top t oyou... seen lots of yard trucks use them but they're illegal for highway use.... I do'nt know why.

They're not nearly as dangerous as these things for 18 wheelers that used to clip under the dash and clamp on teh accelerator pedal and that was a "Cruise control."
