Question (?) How do you `Grip (?)

AAA: Get the Right Grip on Your Steering Wheel
Member's, How do you Grip your Steering Wheel ?

I grip all over the steering wheel (I try not 2 drive with my
knee while eating a Big Mac, or talk'in on the phone, or texting, or play'in with the sound system, or watching T.V. as I drive somewhere to get lost

Post your position(s) of your hands ? Oh, on your Steering Wheel (lol)

AAA is urging drivers to get a grip — the correct grip that is — on their steering wheel. You may have learned that the best way to hold a steering wheel is to place your hands at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock, but AAA cautions that this may not be the safest position. According to the organization, placing your hands lower helps decrease the risk of hand and arm injuries from an airbag and increases vehicle control. Check out the above video for safer options.

I don't know how I grab the wheel - I just don't think about it. Don't make me think! Now I don't know if I can drive again...

depends on the car and the shape of the wheel. My 5th gen i usually drive at around 6 o'clock, but i cant do that in the 6th gen. So in that i usually drive at 3 o'clock. I almost always drive one handed as well unless i need extra precision for whatever reason.

i drive one handed unless i am in need of precision handling. im left handed so im always at 11-12 or 9 position. i agree right hand is for shifting and telling people there number 1, also radio. i wont lie there is times i also drive with my knee. ill drive with my knee in company truck trying to eat or light a cig. i dont have this problem in my personal vehicles because if im in them i have time to stop and eat not rush to eat and drive and i dont smoke in my personal vehicles.

obviously if I'm not holding on for dear life(in snow) I got the right hand on the shifter(I do alot of uphill & low speed, usually stay in 3rd.) and left hand sits on the 7o-clock position.

I am too short for the proper 10-and-2 lol. It feels awkward that way. I typically drive at 7-and-5. Never drive one handed or I always lean to the opposite edge of the lane haha.
