she has a 2000 plymoth neon, the problem we are having with it is that it bogs down liek she cant go over liek 25 or 30 and there is really really dark black smoke coming out of her tailpipe kinda like a diesle smoke we replaced the plugs and wires not 2 long ago and the catalitc converter was replaced a while ago anybody have any ideas what this could be.

 

 

Sounds like the fuel pressure regulator is dumping to much fuel in the engine
Check the fuel pressure
If regulator is bad replace it
Change the engine oil and filter (dumping too much fuel will thin the oil out)

Take the car to your local Chevy Dealer and trade it in on a brand new Monte

Please check the fuel pressure regulator.... pretty sure that is where you will find the problem at
