As soon as I go pick it up and bring it home I will get pictures. I need something to mess around with since I finished my 1944 ****** MB Jeep.

Can't wait to see the Chevelle.

Duane, the truck is cool. It looks like my dad's '49 Dodge pickup. (same colors is what I mean)

ClassicChevy.com was re-named once Eckler's took over. It's now known as Chevy Classics (to encompass everything Chevy from 1955-1972) and the prices went up once Eckler's took over, too.

hey R,J
Wish i knew ya a few years ago, I had that big red book fo rthe tri 5's
It was well worth the cash for the set.

But honestly the reason i bought stuff from them is if i could not find it anywhere else.

Also so that i could ge tthe month Mag.

But if you get the parts book from them it is a good book for reffence. I actually founs that Dan Chuck was cheaper for my parts on the 56. and also got some from paddock and they were pretty good aso.

But none of them are great prices. they know your a captive audiance

So true Mickey.

I've complained to Classic Chevy about their prices being TOO high. They responded with, "We try to be competative."
(sure you do people)

I bought a set of urethane leaf spring bushings from them for $40 once. By chance one day I was leafing through a Summit catalog and thought to myself, "Wonder if they can get the urethane leaf spring bushings and wonder what the price is?" so I called Summit. when the bushings arrived they were the exact same bushing Classic Chevy sold to me. Only from Summit they were $19.

Same bushings. Same package right down to the part number.

So now I try to shop around when I need parts. To see if I can get the parts for a lower price?
