Some notes that I would like to add third gen Camaros are, there was no RS model until 1987. For 1986 there was a Sports Coupe, Sport Coupe Berlinetta, Berlinetta, Z28, and IROC-Z28.

The 86 Monte Carlo was available as an SS though (It lacked performance though due to a 180hp 305 V8).

 

i have best of both worlds

love both front and rear. screw people who judge a car just because it's front or rear.

and i have never seen a 3rd gen Camaro SS, i have seen a 5th gen Monte SS though, it was a package similar to what cashmoney described. a dealer installed sideskirts, SS lettering, and bumper extensions. but it was still a 3.1 or 3.4 under the hood. don't think they offered that package after 95

 

I have the rwd mustang 3800 v6 and the fwd monte 3800 v6 and My monte kicks the crap out of my mustang..lol

 

the ford 3.8 and GM 3.8 are totally different engines. yes they are quite a bit slower. i could beat a v6 mustang with my 3.1 monte carlo haha

i smoked a Z28 last week. freaked him out when he heard my blower whining haha that felt good. he drove along by my side trying to see what kind of car it was. he prob thought it's rwd with a v8.
