Default FWD haters.

Doesn't it drive you nuts, when someone says they don't like a certain car, ONLY because it's FWD?

I sure do...

I see the 1995-2007 Monte Carlos get a lot of flack because they're FWD.

I think it's BS, to be honest.

in the past 6 years i have owned
86 Chevy 1/2 ton Truck ( 4x4 ) ( top speed 98 MPH )
77 Chevy Camaro ( RWD ) ( top speed 115 MPH if you got 10 minutes to kill )
86 Chevy Camaro SS ( RWD ) ( top speed 137 MPH )
91 Toyota Celica Turbo ( FWD ) Top Speed 142 MPH )
96 Eagle Talon Turbo ( FWD ) ( top speed 165 MPH )
01 Chevy Monte Carlo ( FWD ) ( top speed unknown so far )

all speeds were documented on a 1/4 mile track as i do not like to street race where innocent people can be hurt or killed.

these vehicles were all stock and as you can clearly see the FWD cars simply dominated..
also the FWD had more potential for upgrades without doing a complete engine tear down.

I can understand why people wouldn't want a FWD car just because RWD cars will always be the best design for speed/performance. With that being said, I LOVE my FWD Monte. Most people that talk crap about FWD cars don't own a vehicle with more power then my Monte, so I just brush it off and laugh.

And I hate to be nit-picky, but I love Camaros too. So with that being said, CashMoney there was no 86 Camaro SS, in fact there was no third gen SS. Otherwise cool list, and I laughed with your 1/4 joke

yes there was a 1986 camaro SS. the only thing they did to it to make it an SS was included a side skirt ground effects with side pipes.
now if this was done by someone else b4 i got the car idk but if so they did a really good job with it because it had a factory look to it all

Cash Money- if it took your 77 Camaro 10 minutes to get up to that speed I would say it had other problems. I dont care what car it is, it shouldnt take 10 minutes to get up to speed like that, considering it was capable. As far as FWD goes, I dont mind. Always had RWD cars and loved them to get squirrlely. I miss that.

RWD fanatics think they are the best thing out there.....Until winter comes around. Then they all end up in the ditch sooner or later
