My girlfriend Debbie offered to pay for a movie on saturday. So we went to Huber Heights, OH to see what they were playing there? There's also a Danbury theater there that shows discounted movies.

So I'm setting outside the theater while she went in to see movie times and decide if we wanted to see one of them? Another movie let out and I'm setting in the Pace car up next to the front door. A kid comes out with his mom and 2 brothers. I hear the kid tell his mom, "I want to wave to the race car driver." And he walks up to the pass window and waves to me.

It was cute and funny at the same time. I couldn't help but laugh at the situation. lol



PS. the latest Harry Potter movie kind of sucked.

Yeah, I never c ould figure out why little kids think they are racecars. Must be NASCAR fans!!!!

 

@Cowboy - Well, in RJ's case, he was in a '03 Pace Car edition. I believe it has some markings that say "Pace Car" so for kids old enough to read an know the term "Pace Car", that may make them think "Race Car".

@RJ - Great story, thanks for sharing it. I think many (if not all) of us who enjoy cars and keep them clean have had someone give us a nice feeling like that.
In my Camaro, I had a couple of people mention how nice it looked and especially after the hood. Heck, years ago when my Camaro was still running, I took a different car to work one day and my Camaro was left parked in the driveway, I had a note from a young high school kid wondering if I was willing to sell it. In my Monte, I was in a traffic jam and as I was moving slowly through, I had some one in the lan next to me say "Nice car!".

All great stories to share. I'm sure you brightened that kids day just by having him feel he waved to a race car driver!
