Btw Mike I didn't realize the earlier CTS's had manuals. I knew they were RWD but not that they had manual. The 05 or so CTS-V is probably still a bit out of my reach though. And there's still something about the styling of the G35 (especially the ones with factory nav) that really does something. Although the CTS-V isn't bad at all. If money was not a factor I'd definitely consider it though. Part of me thinks the G35 is a little more intuitive as far as the way the nav/radio and climate controls are set up. It would probably be a hard decision. I'd have to figure out if the styling of the Infiniti is worth losing 100hp. Still, 298 hp is pretty nice.

No Jerry I haven't heard anything about the job and I'm getting anxious! I wish I could take today off but I have to take Monday off and I have no sick or personal days at work.

Hi members - Rick wants me to tell you he'll be off the MCForum for a few days. They're having Internet problems at the condo in sunny Arizona. He'll check in with us as soon as things are fixed. I have a feeling there's plenty of other things to do out there while we shiver here in the midwest - like walking in the sun, climbing trails through the mountains, swimming and tanning by the pool, reading the latest Car & Driver in the recliner by the giant screen TV, exploring the desert areas and collecting rocks for friends, relaxing on the deck in the evening with a Bud Light while planning tomorrow's breakfast of Cocoa Crispies and a banana. No, wait......that's me, not him.

The V6s do have autos (all I had seen actually were automatic V6s which is why I'd never thought of them having manuals before 2009 or so). The instrument cluster reminds me of a bunch of other GM cars of the period though and (at least IMO) the interior doesn't really set it self apart from the non-luxury other than materials. GM screwed the pooch on designing the interior on those older CTS's. They've done a much better job on the newer ones but they're way out of my range in terms of price.

Jerry, glad to hear you can pick up your car. Hope they did a good job on it for as long as they had it.

Ok, I am back. honestly it looks better than when I took it in. The whole side appears to have been buffed out and I had a scratch on the door which is no longer there. I am very happy and getting ready to put my wheels on. I will post the pics of the metal work they did. he emailed them to me and also pics with the wheels. stay tuned. All Smiles.
