My cup holders get warm to the touch, as does the floor of the center console. It never bothered me really- I just crank the AC up if I get warm. I certainly didn't want to add more weight for a touch more personal comfort.
That's part of the drawback to a budget performance car like a vette- there are certainly a lot of things that could have been better, but would've driven the original cost of the car up. The upside is- for all of these small complaints, there is a huge aftermarket to address them.
