While I admit that it depends on the setup, I would say a stock LS4 vs a turbo'd 3800 would go to the turbo'd 3800 99% of the time. Some guys can't figure out the turbo setup on our v6's so every now and then one of them ends up being a turd.

Oh, your wording confused me. A stock ls4 or a turboed 3800.
If you turbo a v6, and it doesn't kick the living daylights outta the ls4, then you fail!
What are most of the guys dynoing with turbo v6's, 400+ hp i'd imagine.

Ok. "Sorry" for all the confusion. I guess my fingers were engaged before my Brain was. I'll try to clarify what I was trying to ask. On the 06 & 07 model Monte Carlo's. Are the V 6 super charged faster then the 5.3l stock out of the factory ? I guess is what I want to know. Sorry Luse4,Joe,Zipper for any confusion. Well I'm on this subject. Were any of the V 6's Super charged Faster then the 5.3L.????

It's all good, I kinda like these threads. No, the L67 from the factory is not faster then the LS4. They tend to run about a 1/2 second slower in the 1/4 mile then LS4's do. Right off the top of my head the only supercharged v6 that I can think of that's faster then the LS4 is the Chrysler Crossfire SRT6:

That's true. As long as you keep the LS4 stock. I'd love to see some races though. That would be interesting.

I would have to say that the Turbo'd LS4 would stomp them all... But then I'm a little biased.

You threw me with the turbo.

Was there ever a turbo monte offered?
The 1980s. There was a turbo V6 offered in a Monte Carlo.

Stupid mistake or what?
A small car lot had a turbo V6 Monte setting on EXACTLY like my g/f Debbie's '81 LC Monte. Same color white. Same color landau roof. This Monte had bucket seats and center console. Both cars had the gauge package in them versus the idiot light package.
The car lot wanted $1200 for this car. And I let it go.

Didn't we wonder the same about a sc 3800 and the 3900 when they came out? Which would be faster?

Hm, what about the series III?
It would seem to be a bit faster than the l67, right?

The Series III supercharged 3800 (L32) is more powerful then the L67 but typically runs a tad slower in stock form because of changed shift points (IIRC) and it was in a heavier car. 3900's tend to run 2 or 3 tenths of a second slower then L67's which is probably due to them having less torque.
