in econ class yesterday......
i was bored sitting in my econ class and we were discussing the current economic situation. i had the idea after listening to a kids speech (in speech class) about marijuana legalization. we spend alot of money keeping it out of the country and yet its still comes in. there is such a high demand for it, why not legalize it, tax the crap out of it, save money from keeping it out, earn money from taxes, and essentially its use could go down because of it being less crazy to do it because it is now legal.
now im not a smoker and i could care less. i just saw it as a profit for the country in these trying times.
whats your thoughts??????

Hi Adam,I agree that it should be legal, & taxed 4-$ure.I do not partake anymore, not since my early teens.[X(]
I am against driving under the influence, and there should bepenalities for abuse.I`ve read several papers in Econ Classes on the subject, andthe projected tax profits for tax on grass is massive, and would really cut our national debt. Thanks 4 posting/sharing.Hope U R EnJoying your Monte of the Month Victory!!Peace/Out/`kid

Your rationalization to legalizing wacky weed has been talked about before.
Tax the crap out of the stuff and laugh all the way to the bank.
The other side of the coin said what if you board a plane and the pilot just finished off a large roach. Would you want to be on the same plane as him or her? Not me.

that is a good point but at the same time its alot like the 2 pilots that were drunk b4 flight. theres no way to regulate what they do, but only stress and punish big time if it occurs.
Listening to the radio this summer there was talk that California was going to put it to a vote. Then weed licenses would be just like a liquor license and could be sold in similar establishments.
That's the problem. People will abuse it just like they do alcohol and cigarettes.
You can't breathalize for weed to see if someone's been sucking up a joint or two or three. Develop that technology first and then Uncle Obama may listen to legalizing wachy weed.
